When it sees a woman it shouts "grandma!"

OLD HAT

The crocus members of the group have decided that 'pataphysics will no longer be discussed as they don't really understand it.
They have decided that AVALANCHISM is the bees knees and that other stuff is old hat.
At some point they might change the name of the blog to reflect this but at the moment can't be bothered.
Above is documentary evidence that the group met to discuss this issue.Adam Corner can clearly be seen in the centre of the photo.

DANJOU'S HAND

Captain Danjou's wooden hand was stolen from his corpse during the famous Mexican battle of Camaron,where Danjou's French Foreign Legion fought to the last three survivors.It was returned to the legion afterwards and is now a venerated relic of bravery against all odds.

AE

The Institute holds it's Annual Picnic at the shortest place name in Britain.

The Forest of Ae also houses a delightful collection of slightly uninteresting Ploughs.

These ploughs were specifically arranged in the shape of the constellation DRAGO by Adam Corner and his strongman assistant Boron of Athens before they fell out.

The largest plough, nicknamed 'Willful' dissappeared during the picnic of 1991.

The best line of poetry ever written includes reference to agricultural machinery.Written by the Jesuit poet shaman Gerard Manley Hopkins in his poem 'The Windhover';

"No wonder of it: sheer plod makes plough down sillion
Shine,and blue-bleak embers,ah my dear,
Fall,gall themselves,and gash gold-vermilion"

GHOST HAND

A spectral image of a ghostly hand captured by Carnacki in 1908 and donated to the Institute by his great nephew.Carnacki used a pin hole camera made out of a skull and never recovered fully from the visitation.
